General settings
To set up general settings for Referral program, you can follow these steps:
Go to Referral program tab by clicking on it on the navigation bar
Who can join the program
a. Referrers - Who can refer
There are 5 customer segments who can refer friends:
All customers: Everyone can refer friends and get discounts without logging in.
Members: Only members can refer friends and get discounts, login required.
Specific customers: Only selected customers can refer friends and get discounts, login required.
Customer tags: Only customers with specific tags can refer friends and get discounts (you can create tags in the Shopify Customers tab).
Customers with at least one completed order: Only customers who have completed at least one order can refer friends and get discounts.
b. Referee - Who can get referred
Only first-time customers, who did not have orders, account, and were not referred by anyone, can get referred and receive discounts.
Referral rewards
Rewards is set up similar to Discounts in Shopify admin.
With Reward for Referrers, you can add the minimum quantity of referees. Referrers can receive a reward only when the number of successful referrals is a multiple of the minimum quantity of referees.
Referral redirection URL
Customize the URL when customer click on the Referral link to a specific page of your store. With the example below, customers will be redirected to Collection page when they enter Referral link.
Fraud prevention
To ensure the fairness of your referral program and prevent abuse, BLOOP provides fraud prevention features.
IP Address: If the referrer and referee have the same IP address, the referee will not receive the discount.
Browser: Prevent referrers from referring themselves and claiming the discount on the same browser.
Social sharing
Enable the toggle of social channels on which you want to allow customers to share referral links.
Customers can easily refer friends by clicking on the social channel that they want to share among 5 channels below.
